Westchester patients now have access to some of Montefiore Medical Center’s highly trained physician specialists at Montefiore Medical Specialists of Westchester. The new center is a physician-driven practice offering patient-centered dermatology, nephrology, endocrinology, pulmonology and rheumatology services.

Doctors provide care in an attractive 5,300-square-foot facility in a convenient suburban location. The office has 13 comfortable exam rooms to help limit patient wait times, an electronic medical records system that helps streamline care and some of the latest advances in medical equipment.

“This is a unique facility where we bring an academic focus to a referral center,” says Eric Epstein, MD, an endocrinologist at Montefiore and assistant professor of Medicine at Albert Einstein College of Medicine. “Patients in Westchester can now receive state-of-the-art medical care from board-certified specialists and participate in research opportunities, without having to drive long distances or worry about parking issues common in metropolitan areas.”

The specialists perform many evaluations and tests onsite and have access to all the resources available at Montefiore Medical Center. They work closely with referring physicians providing them with detailed reports within 24 hours and communicating with them frequently while their patients undergo treatment.

“Before we opened, patients faced a significant wait for appointments with certain specialists in the area,” says Darryl Hull, practice administrator. “Now patients in Westchester can get appointments with experienced specialists in a more timely manner. The practice has been growing rapidly as more and more local residents turn to us when they need specialty care.”

Montefiore Medical Specialists of Westchester is located at 495 Central Park Ave. in Scarsdale. The center is open Monday through Friday from 8:30 am to 5:00 pm.
